It is true that it is nice to see such shenanigans brought to light, but I'd hardly expect it to become a common occurence. Della Bosca undertook to support the position of the labour caucus, but betrayed them in order to support Iemma. This really is the only reason why the behind-the-scenes machinations are suddenly exposed to daylight. Senator Colston would be another example of what happens to labour rats.
Of course, both the liberals and nationals engage in similar behaviour, it is just normally less visible (except for the publicity surrounding Barnaby Joyce not so long ago). Posted by Haganah Bet, Tuesday, 24 June 2008 5:43:30 PM

Imagine how many times Della and Neal have gotten away with this in the past.Judging by their response,it is more the norm than a drunken aberation.
If the people of NSW do not vote them out next election, then it is curtains for us all. Posted by Arjay, Tuesday, 24 June 2008 6:16:05 PM

[politics] is a race to the bottom.
Via the two-party farce we get to elect mainly lawyers to make new laws to proect other lawyers [in the howard term 60 percent had a law background][whatever happend to sepperation of powers] The point being po[faced] lie[r's] [and]tics its a race ,that ensures the bully gets the party nomination Being former lawyer's they make neo[NEW] laws [witness howards passing of the law that allowed polititions [and public servants] to legally lie, [quickly followed by the same new law in state politics] The thing is you cant get party nomination without the party having the dirt on you first [thus we get the party yes men ;in both parties] what the opposition is beating up is a destraction at best[police obey the orders of their political masters.[its simply fact] The minute the stink dies down the mater gets quietly dropped [john howhard proved the theory ,thus it became the new rule [each generation of politricks shapes the next] its a historic fact , so can we move on to the important topics soon [we got poor voters with real problems out here in the land of OZ] kevin sack the woman then we get the opposition to concentrate on opposing govt policy not the person [who the party clearly should never have qualified to even stand] [same goes for you liberals out there pick up your game [if you lot is the best we get for peanuts we should return to paying peanuts! [none of you deserve the next 7 percent pay increase, you will no doudt both pass quietly anytime you chose] Its time to give the poor a big tax cut [no tax on wages under 25,000], plus making all work costs fully tax deductable ,and lets bring back death duties and remove gst [the rich hiding their wealth in trust funds avoid paying any tax whatsover ,at least with death duties they pay something back of the spoils the helped despoil], and lets reduce the cost of child care ,what was howard thinking? [who cares hes gone] lets move on Posted by one under god, Tuesday, 24 June 2008 11:08:38 PM

It is true that the worst have always behaved like this.
Maybe Dela Bosca is finished Belinda is for sure we are better without her. And better without such as them, but we will always have this type like it or not. I see no difference however with the contempt NSW leadership is showing for his party machine and this. No public miss behavior? ask your local member about the thuggish threats!. I got to hate Belinda Neal [dissenting] from her feminist stance on the 1994 Joint Select Committee Inquiry [into the Child Support Agency], but even more so last month when she pops up at the Howard cash for comment "men's" site, as the savior for "equality" [NOT].
so I did an article http://csacalc.com/book/incom2.pdf to explain WHY not to the mushrooms I know little of her partner [in crime] John De Labotomy [is he a mate of Tony Abbott?], except to say it seems the whole bullying episode was simply that the wine was late in coming hence the old rule applies "I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal labotomy" Posted by Divorce Doctor, Wednesday, 25 June 2008 11:11:39 AM

Not only does this episode right wrongs and unravel wrong behaviour though the antiseptic effect of the light, but it gives back a dose of medicine to the right-wing bullies in proportion to what they themselves have dished out
