Hi all,

Does anybody know a website or a job portal that lists all the Australian university jobs, where I can search & locate uni jobs. For example I'm interested in tutoring first year students in Computer programming.I know there are other general jobsites such as seek & mycareer, but is there anything specific to university jobs only.
So my searching efforts would be much less than having to search a whole heap of non-related jobs.I'll give you a classical example.Just a few minutes earlier I searched one of the key job websites for first yeal tutoring & one of the search results was "Part-Time Kitchen Hand" which has no relation to what I typed.

Any help would be much appreciated.

cheers,
-Josh-

Dear Josh,

These sites may be helpful:

www.services.unimelb.edu.au/careers/student/tutoring/index.html

www.careers.monash.edu.au/students/tutoring.html

www.AcademicCareers.com
This is a global academic job database job search engine. It may not be what you want.

Good Luck.

Dear Josh,

I tried:

www.CareerOne.com.au

And when I put in " University Tutor in Computer Programming"
about 15 positions came up - Australia wide out of several thousand.
You might want to try it - if you haven't already.

Many universities use seek.com.au to advertise jobs, however for tutoring positions, these are usually not advertised externally as they are mostly reserved for postgraduate students and are often advertised internally only. If you are not currently enrolled at a university I would suggest that you find out who the teaching coordinator for the subjects/topics you wish to tutor for at your local/nearest universities and contact them directly. It isn't too difficult, just contact the relevant faculty and they should be able to help you with a contact number.
