I am referring to what has become known internationally now as one of the worst, most blatant and extended cases of persecution, abuse of human and legal rights and a blight on the institutions of the judiciary and the law enforcement agencies in Thailand; An injustice and persecution of an innocent British man that has been strenuously and consistently challenged by that victim of it, as well as thousands of concerned people who have become aware of it. He was initially sentenced to death after a 5 year trial and that verdict was upheld through to the Supreme Court even though there were 150 obvious inconsistencies, fabrications, perjury and contempt of court by the plaintiff. See the actual trial transcripts with all of the corruption highlighted. It is simply unbelievable, disgusting; bloody horrifying would probably be a better way to put it.

This fellow's name is Alan John Davies and has fought for almost 17 years to date to be treated in accordance with the laws of that land, but without success; though the British Government has acknowledged years ago that he has suffered a massive travesty of justice; that his case was the subject of a British Parliamentary debate which was initiated by 19 British MPs in 1998, which resulted in a new government policy; though there has been endless communications sent to a legion of officials (including several Thai and British Prime Ministers); though 55 Members of the European Parliament petitioned the Thai Royal Palace back in 2000 requesting that the Royal Pardon Petition that he had submitted be granted, he remains in prison and his second petition for release that was initiated in 2002 has yet to even reach the palace for the Thai King's consideration. I urge everyone to take a serious look at this case and to help to broadcast the insanity of it as far as is possible. This kind of abuse must be exposed and the fools that allow it to continue, exposed along with it.

I would argue that the Falun Gong organ transplant industry in China is the biggest case against the death penalty. There has been a 300% increase in transplant operations over there in recent years. Where are the body parts coming from? It makes Aushwitz look like tame by comparison.
