The rampant hypocrisy that is 'global politics' has reached a new potentially explosive and potentially apocalyptic proportions with the US urging Ankara not to take unilateral action against the PKK.

"The Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) has said its fighters are moving from northern Iraq back into southern Turkey where they intend to target the country's politicians."

...

""The source of this war is in north Kurdistan [eastern Turkey] ... the guerrillas are not moving to the south [northern Iraq], on the contrary they are moving to ... places in the north," the statement said.

"The guerrillas are positioning themselves against the attacks of the Turkish state."

"AKP [the ruling party] and CHP [opposition party] organisations in the region are among our targets", it said.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Turkish prime minister, earlier said he is ready to face international criticism should his country decide to attack suspected Kurdish rebel bases in northern Iraq."

Animosity between the US and Turkey could result (hate to say it, but see: prophecies) in basically turning off the the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. Turkey has the source for those river systems which nations down stream are reliant on. That has been picked as a trigger for apocalyptic war.

Does Turkey have a right to chase terrorists (just as America did) wherever they are?. Do the US have a right to stop them, and will they?.

STG :) welcome to the world of uncertainty..... interesting that you mention prophecy...

you know..the strange thing is that the "Islamic" prophecy of and end time battle... and AntiChrist is almost analoguous to some Christian versions, except the characters are reversed. What we see as the AntiChrist..they see as the 12th Imam.. Mahdi or something. I'm not really clued in on the detail...but the big picture was noteworthy.

Not much point in me commenting overly on what might or might not happen.. the only thing I'm absolutely certain about.. and I mean 100% is the return of Christ.. at some time in the future.

As Peter said to Cornelious the Centurions and his family...

"Acts 10:39 We are witnesses of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a tree, 40but God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be seen. 41He was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had already chosen—by us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead. 42He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead. 43All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name."

That's the message we all need to focus on.. end time dramatics won't matter in the long run any more than the final goal of History which is the above.

The situation you describe is surely a conundrum for the Americans.

Perhaps someone may be able to explain to me the purpose of the USA condemning the Turks, for their participation in an event that took place early last century?
