I watched this 10 minute video yesterday and thought it was worth sharing.

Ritter’s Rant 097: The Long Road
http://youtu.be/QVeNSWlsRmw

We're not going to be able to round up a million Muslims and deport them,
So maybe it's time we enlightened ourselves more about our new Islamic citizens.

How did the Sunni / Shia schism occur?
Why do they value martyrdom?

So moving on from the above video, I thought I'd share this one:
- It's a really good enjoyable storytelling and I feel smarter for having watched it.

The Complete Story of Karbala | 72 Against Thousands (Islamic Documentary)
http://youtu.be/Duz5wRGEOLc

This is a thread to voice all your concerns or learn more about Islam.
Feel free to say whatever you think;
I won't be responding like an author of the topic
Nor will I judge anyone for their opinions on this topic.

I don't think that we need anymore enlightenment about Islam. We know it is a threat to Australia - the "we" doesn't include our treacherous politicians - and no person adhering to it should ever have been allowed into Australia. The only political party to deal with them is One Nation; but it's now too late to do much more than stop any more Muslims from coming here, unless there are drastic changes to citizenship and immigration laws that would enable the deportation of the lot of them. And that would be too much for the naive Left wing cranks who, it seems, actually want Australia to go under.

We could learn a lot about ourselves from observing the behaviour of other animals.
Animals are almost always instinct driven.
There is usually some learned behaviour, but not much.
These animals manage very well in a hostile world.
Remember: we are also part of the animal kingdom.
We have a set of instincts to drive us too.
But we have the added advantage of imagination and being able to reason.
This gives us a great advantage.
As long as we are willing to base our thinking on sound and truthful principles.
Principles which allow us to be fully functioning persons.
Any imaginative so called reason for anything else is illogical, and restricts humans in an absurd way.
Most religions do this, and are based on control and money.
Adhere to the principles we espouse, and give us your money.
People are programmed to follow a leader, but not too clever at choosing a proper one.
And not too clever at being fully functional humans either, it seems.
All religions restrict human activity in a negative way.
But people need their leader.
Even if the life they then live lacks mental freedom.
I hope the above addresses the concerns of the writer.

What is it about religion(s) that attract people in the first place? I'm not talking about those who are baptised into a religion at an early age, and then go through life without any inclination to practice this religion, which has been so kindly given to them. I can only speak about my Christian experience, I note that in Australia, as little as 5% of professed Christians actually attend church regularly, and a very small number of them are actively involved with church activity. The "conservative" mainstream denominations tend to attract an older demographic, whereas the so called Evangelistic churches, attract younger people. What do these churches have to offer? Seems, they offer a simplistic explanation for ones being, a purpose for living, and instructions on how to receive the rewards in an afterlife. Put simply, worship God, as tough by Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and follow the directions of his earthly representatives, the clergy. Substitute Muhammad for Jesus, and you probably have Islam.

Islam just like socialism is a death cult that easily reverts to violence. Its prophet was a man who married a 6-year-old and was a warmonger who started peaceful but became violent when people rejected him. Sort of like the left who preach peace but practice violence. The same spirit of Islam resides with leftist. They murder babies up to birth, promote killing old people and are violent towards those who disagree. Unfortunately, the left and Islam are cousins. They use each other as useful idiots. Greens/labor know by bringing muslims here they are bringing votes. The Only Righteous One Jesus Christ is where most of the left's hatred is aimed at. He exposes the complete depravity of man and shows clearly that man is not god. The left are even stupid enough to think they can change then climate. Islam rejects Christ as the Son of God and reduces Him to a prophet. Like god deniers they are clearly deluded.

300 people in Australia are in a ‘deradicalisation’ program’. 18,000 Muslims are being watched by ASIO.

These people would not be in Australia if there was no Muslim immigration; nor would Australians be having their money handed over by Albanese to three Muslim media outfits, one of which is promoting and supporting a Muslim hate-preacher who has been banned even from European countries

72,000 unnecessary iffy people would also not be taking up space, accommodation and services in our country if the Albanese government had not handed out visas to the families of foreign students! Albanese and his filthy party might want to sacrifice the country. Australians, including those who voted for the bastards a second time do not.

Albanese and his scum have no interest in protecting anything but themselves, and hopefully they won't be able to do that for much longer.

On the matter of protection, the recent report of unidentified drones buzzing the Williamtown air base, and the ordering of personnel to 'pull the blinds down' because the base has no anti-drone weapons, would be hilarious if it was no so disgustedly typical of the criminal incompetence of the Albanese government.

Hi runner,

"Its prophet was a man who married a 6-year-old", In that case The Prophet would fit in nicely with the Catholic clergy of today, fiddle with the 6 year old's by all means, but you can't marry them, the Pope said so, celibacy and all that guff. BTW, did you ever manage to get on top of all those paedophiles in your church? Take that "on top" as figuratively not literally, I'd hate to see you on top of those paedophiles.

BBTW, Are you following the Jones case?

so so predictable Paul. Pretty surprised you have a moral base to call child molesting wrong. I mean your high priest heroes like Dawkins, Hitchens and Gates all loved their trips to Epstein's island. As much as i detest the Catholic church at least they call marrying 6-year-olds wrong unlike Islam. Strange how your godless crew also ignore the massive amount of child abuse among Indigenous groups of all varieties. The left just loves to project. Abuse rates among the alphabet crew are always ignored also. Just proves my point that all humanity is corrupt and you are no different.

Migrants, Muslim or not, here for the ride, sent $38.2 billion out of Australia last year to the various holes they came from. Over a third of the Australian population is now foreign- born, and it is cheaper for them to send money that should be spent here back to the holes-of-departure than it is to bring the people here under family reunion rules: something even the Albanese government is thinking of cracking down on.

While immigrants are said to be ‘contributors to the economy', they are reducing their contribution by sending a good swag of it out of the country.

These “significant net migrant remittance outflows are an economic cost to the host country”, according to economists. They are a net leakage from national income, domestic demand, and the tax base. They are weakening the claimed fiscal return from immigration. And this weakening has doubled between 2019 and 2025.

“As a result, they weaken the economic and fiscal return from immigration”.

Once again, Albanese's mass immigration is political rather than economic: replacing the old population to benefit the Labor Party.

Australia is being treated as a cash-cow by foreign workers, when immigration is supposed to put money into the country, not send it out.

These ‘remittances’ now make up 3.5% of India's GDP when that money could be used for struggling Australians; perhaps those losing jobs to India. ( As an aside: if offshoreing jobs to India is allowed, how about sending Indians from here back to do them in India?)

Thank you for the links AC. Ritter is ranting about something I have known for quite a while now.
Prejudice is an emotional commitment to ignorance. Nathan Rutestein

I’ve just finished reading a book by Billy Connelly. What an outstanding example of someone taking the long rambling road, discovering the complex magnificence of humanity in every corner of our rocky little planet. He took every opportunity to grab life by the balls and participate in the excitement the humour and absurd stupidity of people everywhere.

Why can’t the haters be more like Billy. Oh, that’s right = Prejudice is an emotional … you know the rest.

Hi ttbn,

One sided rubbish, true, migrants remit money to help relatives "back home", Chinese/Australians and Indian/Australians are two of the biggest. On the other hand both China and India invest heavily in Australia, about $75 billion between them in direct investment. China alone has provided over $200 billion to Australian businesses in credit and loans.

On non productive waste, The taxpayer pumps over $60 billion annually into non productive aged welfare recipients. Money that could be used to build schools and hospitals, roads and railways!

BTW, I sent $NZ200 to our niece in Aotearoa, just the other day, get the moko's some new winter coats, been freezing over there.

Hi Aries,

I just wanted to share his rant and the story, I'm glad you approve.
I thought it was a good storytelling, and it explained a little about how this rift between Sunni and Shia came about and their willingness to become martyrs.

I see everybody else is getting along fine, all sharing their thoughts and opinions, which is good and healthy I suppose.
- But I think I might still sit this one out.

The Billy Connolly book sounds like it was a really great read.
"What an outstanding example of someone taking the long rambling road"
- I think you might've gotten that spot on.

Sixty seven percent of immigrants say that sending money back home to family “was a significant factor in migrating to Australia”. And they send 2% of Australia's GDP to the foreigners in a foreign country.

The fact that Christianity is part of of the basis of Anglo Saxon Australian culture also has to be taken into account. It could well be that Albanese (I say Albanese because he is a dictator in the Party, and the goons can't do say anything without his agreement- just look at the disagreement in the party on immigration, which has stopped Burke's speech until Albanese gets back from holiday to sort it out) is deliberately trying to de-Christianise Australia with increased Islamism, Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism and every known religion.

Christianity has never been weaker than it is now in Australia - due largely to the Bishops and the Pope interfering in politics and telling people how to vote. Perhaps Christianity doesn't deserve to survive, but do we really want it replaced by Islam or other rubbish that worships rocks and animals?

problem ttbn is the disgusting woke churches that tell people to vote for degenerates like the Greens or the witches that murder babies up to birth. The unions tell people to vote labor, the marxist on abc tell people to vote Greens/Labor, schools indoctrinate kids into marxist, uni's indoctrinate the gullible to vote for Labor, the muslims vote labor for more and more tax payer money. Why should not the church tell people to vote for those aligning for their values. Are they the only ones not allowed an opinion?

'deliberately trying to de-Christianise Australia with increased Islamism, Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism and every known religion.'

You really think that? I mean really think he cares at all?

Newsflash: Religion in Australia is Dying. I am agnostic myself, don't believe in certainty, but openminded. But only old codgers go to church, and in decreasing numbers.

Throughout history cultures have changed, people have migrated. Who cares. Doesn't stop you going to sit on hard wooden seat and listen to cr@p if you really wanna.

A top ranking Australian Catholic, Bishop Christopher Saunders has been found guilty of 13 counts of sexually abusing young men. This convicted paedophile is still a member of the CATHOLIC CHURCH, he is still a priest in the eyes of that Church. This shows what these so called Christians are all about. Add Saunders name to the list of thousands of protected paedophiles, past and present members of Christian Churches!

p/s Don't be fooled by so called Christians masquerading as "missionaries" in third world countries in Asia, Africa and South America.

BTW The name Christopher means "bearer of Christ", is that what Saunders is? A bearer of Christ!

runner,

You ask,” Why should not the church tell people to vote for those aligning for their values”.

But, that is exactly what they are NOT doing. They are pumping out left-wing bilge Albanese would be proud of. Nothing to do with Christianity.

From the Pope to the village priest, they have all become leftist activists; as have the protestants like the Uniting Church.

No religious group should be telling anyone how to vote. That’s too much like Islam, which “guides” its adherents on every aspect of their miserable, fearful lives.
