Hi NathanJ,
I'm not the one to defend Pauline Hanson, I see her as totally unsuitable for Australia. But in this case, I view her comments as well meaning, but out of touch with reality, and somewhat apologetic for the perpetrators of DV, particularly men. There is not a family in Australia, which has not been touched by DV in some way. The cause is the breakdown in intimate relationships, but not all such breakdowns result in DV. It can also be caused by one partner having a violent personality, resulting in behavioural problems. Not all perpetrators are the classic "wife beater" type, resulting in physical violence, there are other kinds of violence, and most cases of DV don't result in the extreme outcome of murder. What steps a person can take, when confronted with their situation, the answer is not a simple "leave" and all will be well answer, its far more complex than that, Hanson seems not to understand the complexity of the problem, again making her unsuitable as a law maker, and she is also incapable of showing empathy for the victims of DV. I think that respect is a two-way street, and so is conflict and either or both parties may be the cause of it.

What do you think Nathan? You always ask questions. Never make a statement. Don't have a mind of your own? Too timid to express an opinion?
Of course, you don't have to answer. Nor do people have to answer your insipid questions. Man up. Have your own opinions. Send Hanson an email. Tell her what you think if you are so interested in a few words she uttered among the millions that she and other politicians are always putting out. Posted by ttbn, Monday, 27 July 2026 10:05:28 AM

By the way. Hanson's comments are not "controversial" because they haven't caused public debate, opposing views or disagreement.
Most people wouldn't be aware of what she said, or care if they did. They are too busy keeping their heads above water to be listened to anything that doesn't directly affect them, including the droning on of politicians who have effed their lives up. Kel Richards, language-expert and political commentator, believes the Right and Left struggle has been replaced by the ‘People vs The Authority’ (News 24 today) - since Reform in the UK and One Nation in Australia. There is a chasm between people and institutions who exercise power.
This seems to fit in with the common belief of the existence of the “uniparty” in Australia - not much difference between them, interested only in power. Until recently, we have been fooled into thinking that those in power were “more or less” on our side. But now, the version of Australia that those authorities want is different from the one that ordinary Australians want. The big fat NO to the Albanese racist referendum was the start. The non-Labor side of the uniparty went against it only when they sensed that NO was likely. It was all down to the people, not the authorities. The SA and Vic authorities have since forced something like the federal abomination onto the people without asking them; thus widening the gap between them and the people. Richards has declared Pauline Hanson to be the “face of the people” in the struggle against the authorities. The polls seem to indicate that that might be the case. People “dominated by common sense”, not by ideology, are ignoring the mainstream media (a branch of the authorities); they don't care who Pauline Hanson spoke to in the UK; they don't care if she doesn't turn up in the Senate when the media thinks she should (probably does a lot more good away from it); they don't care if she gets a plane and other help from Gina Rinehart. And, the people don't care if Hanson's comments on domestic violence are disliked by the Teals or anonymous posters. She speaks for people the authorities are not interested in. Pauline Hanson and One Nation are the only hope for Australians wanting protection from mass immigration. They don't give a damn what she says about other things that are not a threat to their financial security (immigration reduces per capita GDP), whether or not they can pay the rent or buy a house, or just feed themselves in too many cases. Mass immigration helps only Big Business and Big Government.
The electoral incentives for Labor to continue mass immigration are obvious to everyone except the Coalition. One Nation is the only party with a coherent immigration policy. Albanese Labor knows that current immigration is unpopular, but they don't care; nor does the Coalition, with its absurd idea to link immigration to the number of houses available - not on the only sane basis for it: how many, if any, immigrants are needed for the benefit of Australia. But, the Coalition is now just a sad joke, and the Albanese government is the enemy of the people, who they know are sick of them, and are determined to replace them with people who will vote for them instead of the irritating locals, The sucking up to the Indian crowd at the Modi spectacular was nauseating. Only One Nation can stop the sickness. High inflation. High cost of living. Increasing crime (murder is the only thing America has more of than we do). Low wages. Low growth. Low everything except debt and crime, which is high. Australia is an embarrassment when compared with similar Western countries. But hey. Let's bitch about a few words Pauline Hanson said. Hi NathanJ,
Thanks for the topic. Take no notice of the vitriol directed towards you by a raving old fool, he is as racist and bigoted as his love ideal the Horrible Pauline, they would make a lovely pair, the ugly one just lost a court case for her race hate comments directed at Greens senator Mehreen Faruqi. "Right and Left struggle has been replaced by the ‘People vs The Authority’ (News 24 today) - since Reform in the UK and One Nation in Australia."
Actually, the revolt of the working class against the globalist elite in Europe, the US and Australia predates One Nation and Reform. I think it can be traced back to the rise of the so-called Tea Party in the US in the early 2010's. But the Tea Party revolt was swamped by the globalist fight back, primarily because they (the Tea Party) played by the globalist rules. Given that the elites control all the old power centres - the bureaucracy, the legacy media, the NGOs, the centres of education - the Tea Party was overwhelmed. It took the arrival of Trump and MAGA to absorb the working class revolt and show them how to fight the globalist elite and turn their control of the various centres of power into a disadvantage. Trump has taught groups like National Rally (France), AfD (Germany), Reform UK and One Nation how to combat the globalist elites and by-pass their control of the old heights of power. One Nation has absorbed that lesson and the results are clear. It has the globalist elites in a tizzy. Its funny to see how much time the ALP National Conference spent fretting over the One Nation threat. And watching the ABC opinion shows these days is to watch an unnatural obsession with Pauline and everything she says and does. (I saw a 7:30 interview last night with a Liberal talking about the Victorian ALP catfight and the whole interview ended up concentrating on One Nation). Telling. Hi Trumpster,
The only tea party Australia is likely to have is a One Nation 'Mad Hatters' tea party with Hanson In Wonderland at the head of the table. Your last post is a load of contrived codswallop! No wonder YOU are a sycophantic (sicko) supported of Daffy Donald. Posted by Paul1405, Tuesday, 28 July 2026 8:18:56 AM

I fully expected that some would disagree with my last post.
But never did I expect such a closely argued, fact ladened fisking of my points as we saw from Paul. (Since I know that these things often go over your head, Paul, I'll point out that was sarcasm). I'm guessing that in your circles just saying "Your last post is a load of contrived codswallop!" without the slightest attempt to show how, why or where and not the slightest attempt at counter argument, is the height of sophistication. Alas, not here, however. Posted by mhaze, Tuesday, 28 July 2026 1:02:43 PM

Donald Trump doesn't represent the Ron Paul Libertarian movement. Donald Trump co-opted the discontent of those groups and channeled it into a Pro-Zionist platform. And that's what all these national flag waving movements are, conservative side of politics co-opted for Zionist interests. Trump went against his policies of no wars or regime changes. And he hasn't shown anyone how to combat the globalist elites, he works for them. He kidnaps foreign leaders on fake domestic charges. What the hell do you think Kushners hanging out with Rothschild for? http://x.com/ShadowofEzra/status/2061968319100407849 I hate to say it mhaze, but your comments begin as a decent attempt, but then you shite the bed everytime, because you ignore an entire universe of valid issues like a girl putting her fingers in her ears and yelling 'I'm not listening'. Who funded Trumps election campaign? Tell me, and then tell me what THAT person supports. Posted by Armchair Critic, Tuesday, 28 July 2026 2:17:41 PM

"Donald Trump doesn't represent the Ron Paul Libertarian movement."
Oh good. Lucky no one said he did, then, eh? "Donald Trump co-opted the discontent of those groups and channeled it into a Pro-Zionist platform." Everything, and I do mean everything, is about Israel in AC-land. I suspect that if we ever have a thread about the extinction of the dinosaurs, AC will pop up blaming it on the devilish Joos. "Who funded Trumps election campaign?" Trump. Posted by mhaze, Tuesday, 28 July 2026 5:54:28 PM

>>"Who funded Trumps election campaign?"
Trump.<< That's like when Trump called them 'Dancing Muslims on 911'. Are you an uninformed moron mhaze, or are you deliberately deceitful? It as to be one or the other, I suppose maybe it could be both 'uninformed moron most of the time' 'deliberately deceitful whenever necessary' - Just like Trump himself. I don't need to sift through your load of codswallop, bloody incoherent nonsense! Ahem. You have no understanding of, let alone explanation for the sudden rise of the workers revolt against the globalist elite, yet think that its rubbish to give you an explanation you don't like.
In the early 2010s there's no revolt against the globalist elite. Then Trump creates MAGA. Now a decade later we have the victory of MAGA, the rise of Reform UK, AfD, National Rally, One Nation, the victory of Takaichi's Liberal Democratic Party in Japan, the success of Melei in Argentina and a slew of new anti-globalist governments in South America. Yet all this is mere coincidence in the eyes of some and they 'think' its rubbish to recognise the link and the global realignment. I always think its sad when people live through these interesting global readjustments and remain oblivious to it. Posted by mhaze, Wednesday, 29 July 2026 12:38:21 PM

Wheres the Bill gates protest
Are you going to the Larry Ellison protest or the Peter Theil protest? You talk about the disgrunted working class That was the original MAGA Trump hoodwinked to get himself in the door. But he was always indebted to the Zionists who paid for his campaign and probably have things on him too, MAGA was co-opted by Zionists to support the billionaire class and Zionist interests that the real MAGA supporters like Carlson etc now oppose. Just like silly Pauline, all these Nationalist flag waving parties are backed by Zionists. She can abuse every other immigrant, and gain popular support by Aussies who aren't keen on the immigration thing, but look at her wearing the Israeli flag into our Senate chamber the treacherous fool. If that's what it takes to win Pauline, then you're a sellout just like the rest of them. http://www.youtube.com/shorts/-rAzXOS7Tn4 As for my colourful language, yes well those are the famous words of my girlfriends 17yo daughter. 'Suck MY dick' she would tell you... It's 2026 now mhaze, get with the times mate. You brought it on yourself with your TDS whining, and your teenage groupie antics of taking the frilly undies to throw them at your heartthrob Donald the Dumb while sqeualing about the working class. Go wave your Israeli flag elsewhere. Posted by Armchair Critic, Thursday, 30 July 2026 10:39:55 AM

Not all Americans are happy with everything Trump does. Shocker.
This won't make much sense to you but this is a cultural revolution. While you might base your views on todays petrol prices, some people are more concerned with the direction of their country. Shocker! Posted by mhaze, Thursday, 30 July 2026 5:51:50 PM

'Pauline Hanson Derangement Syndrome'
- Why didn't I see that coming? Everything is on the line’: students shun calls to stay in school and join anti-Hanson protests across Australia http://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2026/aug/13/australia-student-rally-anti-hanson-protests-sydney-brisbane-melbourne-ntwnfb And now the left are blaming the right for what they achieved with the kids. Is Pauline Hanson to 'blame' for this attack against a Chinese restaurant? http://www.mediaweek.com.au/is-pauline-hanson-to-blame-for-this-attack-against-a-chinese-restaurant - I guess this is the fallout of what happens when you ban telling kids 'No'. The left won't say jack shite about kids running amok in the streets
- Until the moment they can blame their failed 'kumbaya' experiment on the right. What a total crock of shite. So are we all loving / hating Islam yet? Or does everyone still feel exactly the same as thy did before? Posted by Armchair Critic, Thursday, 13 August 2026 7:27:34 PM

Hi AC,
Big Kev is dead, there wont be a second coming, thank god! The claim that kids run amok is a leftest thing is had to fathom, otherwise China would be overrun by children. China has a baby problem, and Uncle Xi wouldn't stand for it anyway. If Uncle Xi doesn't stand for something, then you know what happens to the un-liked! TANKS! Its official, telling an immigrant (who tells us how we should act in our own country) to 'go back to where they came from' is against the law.

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2026-07-22/pauline-hanson-domestic-violence-two-way-street/106945146
According to Australian lifetime prevalence figures (since age 15), around 1 in 4 women (23%) and 1 in 14 men (7.3%) have experienced violence by an intimate partner.
During the interview, Pauline Hanson said that couples are under significant pressure and that these pressures can contribute to what happens within a household. She also said that if someone does not feel safe at home, they should not remain in that situation and leave.
Her comments though have drawn criticism from domestic violence experts, support services and other politicians. Some argue that leaving an abusive relationship is far more complex than simply deciding to go, particularly during Australia's housing shortage, with limited access to safe and affordable accommodation for those affected by domestic violence.
Independent MP Zali Steggall has also described the comments as "appalling and dangerous", stating there is no excuse for domestic violence. I think many people would agree on that principle, myself one of them.
Do you think Pauline Hanson's comments are reasonable regardless or has she overstepped the mark?
