America Takes Greenland, China Takes Australia

With Trump's pursuit of Greenland as part of his "America First" agenda with domination of the Western Hemisphere being seen as necessary in Americas interest. According to Trump; "It's vital (the acquisition of Greenland) to deter our adversaries in the Arctic region. "Of course, utilising the US military is always an option at the commander-in-chief's disposal." (You said it brother!) I can only assume Trump was referring to the Polar Bears as Americas adversaries, and the snatching of the big island has nothing to do with its vast mineral wealth, vast mineral wealth, I said that. Greenland doesn't have as much oil as Venezuela, but it does have a lot more rare earths than the South American mob, seems rare earth is not that rare in Greenland. Also there is a major drug problem up north with the Greenlanders dealing with "Ice" all the time, Bad people!

As for China and Australia! Its crystal clear, Australia meets the criteria for a take over. Its located in China's sphere of influence, the Indo/Pacific, its a big island with a relatively small population. According to some ruled by a despot named Madalbo, (China could snatch Madalbo and his new misses from Kirribilli House late one night, whisk them off to Shanghai, and put them on trial, for whatever "Trumped" up charges the Chinese can think of), Australia has vast mineral deposits, Australia has vast mineral deposits, I said that, it has a drug problem, and it has Dingoes who are adversaries of China!

As for the Russians, well, there's always the booby prize, Madagascar!
But don't sell Australia short either, after all there is the island of Tuvalu, with it vast plantations of coconuts, ripe for the picking!

Bonger 1405.

I like this one.
Especially the bit about the ice addicts .

So i dived into the teaming waters of AI knowledge, with some interesting results.

#…A takeover of Australia would trigger a massive regional war, likely involving the US and its allies, leading to devastating economic collapse, severe trade disruptions (especially fuel/oil), crippling cyberattacks, and a protracted, brutal conflict with heavy casualties, transforming everyday life with potential rationing, fuel shortages, and a draft, as China leverages its overwhelming military size and Australia's forces are rapidly outmatched despite initial resistance. The conflict would disrupt global trade, cripple Australia's economy, and fundamentally alter Australia's role as a key US ally, turning it into a crucial, but vulnerable, Pacific logistics hub…#

I think Pine Gap may be a prickly prize for the Chinese though.

Nuremberg Dan,

I read your post, don't beat about the bush, what could possibly go wrong? Nothing like a massive regional war to liven things up, Agree? We've got a few of them going at the moment, they're humming along nicely, Unfortunately they're not in our region, the crickets over, thrashed the Poms 4-1, that could be grounds for the Poms to declare war on Aussie, not that they are any better at war, than they are at cricket! There's nothing worth watching on the telly at the moment, a few A-bombs going off in downtown Sydney will liven things up in that department, and think of the TV ratings, they'll go higher than a U2 spy plane, win win situation all round. You never know it could even escalate into a massive world war, then things will really hot up for all of us! Agree?
