A Fatwa has been issued by the highest religious authorities
in Iran for the assassination of Pres Trump.
Now this is not a trivial matter, a Fatwa is a command from God's
representative on Earth.
What amazes me is that it has not caused an uproar of protest.
It amounts to a declaration of war.
The Fatwa is no minor matter as Salmen Rushdie found out.
It did get a mention in local news as an interesting crazy news
item for a local giggle.
There is nothing funny about it, even an unsuccessful attempt
could or most likely would start a very widespread war.
It is not just Trump included but most of the highest US officials.
I never saw any response reported from the UN either.

In 1989, Ayatollah Khomeini declared a fatwa against Salman Rushdie. Khomeini died in the same year, and Rushdie is still alive 36 years later, now 78 years old.

There have been more fatwas issued than most people have had hot dinners. Have a look at the list in Wikipedia.

Religion and lunatics go well together. Some bloke on a plane heading for Scotland, yelling "allahu akbar" as one does, said he had a bomb and was also going to kill The Donald. Not sure what his actual plan was, blow up the plane, play 18 holes with the Donald, and then kill him, or kill Donald first, then blow up the plane. Regardless, he didn't blow up the plane or kill Donald, all in all, it ended up a very sad day for Allahu Akbar. Serves him right for flying on that budget airline Easy Jet.

The attack on Iran was an unprovoked act of war that killed hundreds of innocent Iranaians so for starters you can't blame Iranians for being outraged and seeking vengeance especially when Israel bombed the national broadcaster, and what does someone 'who used' to work for the government broadcaster have to do with the government itself?

It's like saying:

'After the Chinese Communist Party conducted airstrikes in Ultimo, Sydney at the national headquarters of Australia's national broadcaster the ABC, some former ABC employees have been raising money in an assassination fund against Xi Xinping.'

Maybe the US and Israel shouldn't have bombed their news headquarters?

The U.S. shouldn't bomb sovereign countries in acts of war in breach of international law.

Also Israel openly admits trying to assassinate the Ayatollah and the President of the country, with U.S. bombs and missiles, after Trump already assassinated Solemeini, so I think the Trump assassination fund is actually not unreasonable at all, not that I'm in any way condoning it, just pushing back against the 'outrage of it'.

Like you expect people to say:

'Ah that's ok, that's just life we understand and kneel before your hypocrisy.
You're allowed to assassinate our citizens and elected officials whenever you want, but we understand that we're never allowed to do such horrible things to you'

When nuclear weapons enter the picture all the rules change.
The "First Strike" changes from being an illegal act to being

And after the U.S. and Israel bombed and attacked Iran assassinates and kills them at will, I'd be getting nukes to if I was Iran, it's the only safeguard against hostile foreign forces trying to topple the country and turn it into Syria.

The Iranians have enough nuclear material, they need 60 square meters of space and minimal power (tens of kilowatts) to take their 60% to weapons grade, with a cascade of 174 centrifuges and 4 to 5 weeks to be able to make uranium hexaflouride that can make uranium metal, able to fashion into a warhead with a simple gun trigger.

I'm sure Kim Yong Un would just GIVE Iran a few nuclear warheads if they asked. But Iran has shown they don't need nukes to trash the country, Israel barely lasted 2 weeks with no ports no refineries no airports.
The have hypersonic missiles and I'm not even sure they've used their best Fattah 3, which has a range of 1,400 kilometers. It's a two-stage, solid-fueled missile with a hypersonic glide vehicle capable of reaching speeds between Mach 13 and Mach 15. This high speed and maneuverability make it impossible to intercept.

Go look at Israeli footage of Iranian hypersonics, they couldn't stop them, air defense is no good even with 7 million dollar a piece US interceptors.

Israel should give up their nuclear weapons, they're a rogue terrorist state engaged in genocide and ethnic cleansing, that attacks and assassinates its neighbours to save Netanyahu facing a courtroom.

The attack on Iran was a first strike.
It was known that they were getting close but not known for certain
just how close to having a launchable weapon.
Could just be a test bed put in a container sent to New York.
