ADCQ’s Submission to the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission for consideration in its Pay Equity Inquiry in June of this year reveals that the Commission explicitly favours a Socialist industrial relations system, again breaching the Public Sector Code of Conduct.

For instance, the Commission advocates that it, or the Anti-Discrimination Tribunal, should set wages in private sector workplaces.

Of course, recent thinking on industrial relations has come to the conclusion that employers, and not Government bodies, are best able to evaluate the worth of an employee’s work. This coincides with the rise of economic rationalism and the decline of soft socialism. Nevertheless, the “fresh thinking” of the ADCQ essentially advocates a new form of centralised wage-fixing, as though Tribunal members are better judges of an employee’s worth.

Once again, with its push for obsolete left-wing policies, ADCQ has revealed that it is not a politically impartial organisation. Rather, it is an organisation whose political orientation can best be described as soft left, and which is quite apparently out of touch with the economic and social realities of the real world.

Discrimination Commissions in all states and at the federal level favour left wing policies in all areas, not just IR. They are all biased towards the left and the ALP.
This is almost inevitable given the role they are expected to play. It was not the intention of the legislation but it was hi-jacked by social activists who used discrimination legislation to further their own interests. Staff in offices around the country will inevitably look at things from a socialist viewpoint.
Take an ordinary and obvious case of discrimination to one of the Commissions and nothing will happen unless it happens to be one of the political interest that will favour the left.
I don't think the staff are even aware of their bias. They just assume that this is the way the legislation is intended to work.

Communicat, you are probably right in saying staff are not aware of their bias. To expand on that, they are unaware of any poitical position they may or may not be taking because theirs isn't a political fight. It's a personal/group one and any fight for individual/group rights is socialist by defintion because it places the individual ahead of business and the free market.

Perhaps I'm simply rephrasing your point. Just the same, I agree with your reasoning.

"Moved back" says it all Thinks4self - Australia will once again become uncompetitive, more business will be moved off-shore where labour is cheaper and more reliable (even if it is for all the wrong reasons)and Australia will rapidly be hauled into an economic disaster area that the next Coalition government may not be able to repair.
This has been the cycle in Australian politics for too long. The ALP makes an economic hash of running the country. Coalition governments come in and pull it together again with hard work and the sort of policies that start to make a difference. Instead of being allowed to get on with the job they are dumped by people who think that things should be easier than they are, that Australians should not have to work as hard as the rest of the world etc etc.
This time, if Labor wins the election, things will have changed and the ALP policies will not work in the modern world. We will be isolated and enter an economic black hole from which we will almost certainly never recover.
It would be nice to believe otherwise but the reality is different and Rudd is hoping that people will not realise it until he is Prime Minister of the Era of Disintegration.
