Society was much nicer without social media. If you had something to say, politicians always answered letters; their staff always passed on phone calls and got back to to you. Politicians actually took notice of their constituents. They got out and about, talking to real people. Not any more.

Gormless, career politicians now use social media along with all the other nitwits. They actually listen to the nitwits in the mistaken belief those nitwits represent the sentiments of the majority of Australians. Even Donald Trump - who should know better - uses social media as though he was one of his deadhead, hysterical critics.

We would all be better off without it. Social media has caused so much angst, despair and deplorable behaviour to and from people who wouldn't say boo to a goose in real life. And, it’s users can no longer distinguish make believe from the real thing.

It's not Russias fault that Facebook is replete with in-fighting westerners.
Hell, I live in Australia and would never waste my time with facebook groups;
