Dear Paul,

I learned about their sad
history while working at the University of Southern
California Library in Los Angeles. I learned about Australia's
White Australia Policy from an Afro-American kid who
worked in the University Library's Mail-Room. I did not
believe him at first - because it wasn't something I
was familiar with at the time. Working at the University
was an education in more ways than one.
