They have Trump Derangement Syndrome, promote the idea that Russia influenced the US election when their idea of being exceptional and a liberal democracy that hates authoritarian governments lead them to involve themselves in everyone elses elections, with their hatred for Russia they more or less want to start a world war at any cost, and are willing to see their own citizens suffer for their own exceptionalist beliefs.
In the case of Jamie Raskin, he's quoted as saying “Russia is an orthodox Christian country with traditional social values and for that reason, it must be destroyed, no matter what the cost to us. This is a jihad.”
Congressman Jamie Raskin

These people are deranged nutcases, and fyi I'm not religious.
- I'd prefer a day devoted to 'common sense'.
Science - and the US willingness to weaponise viruses and offshore the research to an non-level 4 biolab in China employed to do gain of function research, resulted in Covid pandemic and killed millions.
These morons should deal with the issue of homelessness, increasing crime and illicit drug use in their own districts instead.
Congressional Freethought Caucus
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Congressional_Freethought_Caucus
"The Congressional Freethought Caucus is a membership organization in the United States House of Representatives established to promote policy solutions based on reason and science, and to defend the secular character of government. Representatives Jared Huffman and Jamie Raskin have co-chaired the caucus since it formed in April 2018.
The caucus was established in reaction to the influence of religion, especially that of the Christian right, in public policymaking in ways that the caucus's founders deem inappropriate in a secular government. They see such influence as hampering effective and appropriate responses to issues ranging from climate change to gun violence.
