IBAC has uncovered corruption in the Vic Labor government under Dan Andrews.

"Senior staff in Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews's government interfered and pressured public servants to ensure lucrative contracts were awarded to a key Labor Party ally without competitive tender, the state's anti-corruption watchdog has found.

The Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission (IBAC) has slammed the premier, health ministers and the public service for the awarding of a contract in 2018 to the Health Workers Union (HWU) to deliver specialist training to deal with occupational violence.

"The union was given privileged access and favourable treatment,'' IBAC's Operation Daintree found.

"The combined effect of these failings and unethical conduct resulted in a contract that should not have been entered into with the union and an outcome which was not in the public interest."

During her interview with investigators, former health minister Jenny Mikakos told IBAC "it appeared the contract had only been entered into to placate [HWU secretary Diana] Asmar during the election period and looked like a 'way … of injecting funds into the HWU'".

ShadowMinister has rightly drawn attention to this recent Victorian IBAC report. Even the left-wing newspaper The Age, who has rarely criticised the 8.5 yr old Andrews Labor Govt, has given the issue good coverage.

It has been known for some time that Ministerial Advisors have way too much say in how the Labor Govt operates. This aspect, plus the >50 personal staff who work for the Premier, means that highly paid and expert public service bureaucrats have much less say than they should have.

This IBAC report, although relating to events over 4 yrs ago, will be followed by others. Labor's hold on power may not extend beyond 3 terms if IBAC's future reports are damning.

Andrews is too close to China for US acceptability.

Destabilise the Government with a peasants revolt, as currently in Israel.

Follow the exit trail of the US dollar in Victoria.

What are labor's achievements?

Higher cost of living,
Higher energy prices,
Higher debt,
Higher inflation,
Higher interest rates, and now
Higher corruption.

What were Labor's election promises?

Corruption at any level of government, the bureaucracy or the judiciary, needs to be dealt with effectively, and that requires a powerful corruption commission with strong investigative powers. The corruption in NSW of the Obeid's and others is legendary. The extent of the corruption of the Liberal Gladys Berejiklian is yet to be fully detailed. Soon the Federal Corruption Commission will be up and running, and lets hope it can investigate the massive corruption of the previous Coalition government, 'Sportsrorts', 'Carparkrorts', land deals, church deals, Liberal and cow cocky politicians party deals. So much to investigate there, it could take 20 years to expose all of the Coalitions corruption.
