By Tim Wallace, published 29/6/2009

When Miranda Kerr bared all for the animals it generated plenty of free publicity for 'Rolling Stone' magazine.

Sounds like sour grapes.

She is giving up her valuable time to promote the issues. Would you prefer she does nothing?

The battle will be won by everyone making small concessions, and if the purists poo poo any move by those without pure "green" credentials, they are doomed to obscurity.

Reality check: the world listens to what Miranda Kerr says, not Bob Brown.

Kerr did nothing but reduced herself to behaving like an animal when she stripped off for the Koalas. Another example of outward morals by someone displaying little to no inward integrity. Why and I surprised? It seems to come hand in hand with green religion.

The sign of a flagging career. A cage outside KFC is next?

Still, she has done a fine service for adolescent boys and lonely introverts. The chain is a nice touch for some, but the hanging hair and the strategically placed hands have been done better.

Academic training is wasted on youth, if $$ is the goal just start a 'be kind to cuddly animals' or 'save green twigs' movement and put out the begging bowl. After all, it is the intent that matters and who counts the 'saved' animals that are given the 'green dream'? At least we hope that some of the left over funds goes towards green dream and not the cheaper methods before the unwanted animals end up in the skip.

Meanwhile the real conservationists like farmers, beaver away completely unseen by keyboard conservationists, doing the hard yakka like grubbing out mimosa and culling ferals.

The 'green' bandwagon: the religion the cafe latte set has when they are not having 'God' religion. Nothing like a $10 'green' donation to provide a salve for the conscience after buying this season's everything.
