Westerners dealing with Indonesia have been barracking for SBY in the upcoming presidential elections because the alternatives look so scary.

An excellent article which clearly describes the political environment challenging SBY.

Graham's understanding of the Indonesian political scene is deep - someone that pitstop journalists (streaking through Asia while producing shallow articles) should take note of. Diplomats could learn a bit as well.

The AFP again gets a good writeup for doing in Indonesia what no other Australian service or organisation has been able to do...
