There is so much on the internet that has originated from the US, that I think that the internet is becoming a very Americianised system. When looking for information on the internet, I now force myself to find information from sites other than US sites, so that I can get more of a rounded and objective view.

The education system in Australia is in an abysymal state and becoming very Americianised. About 100% of software being used in schools and universities is now imported from the US, and textbooks are becoming similar.

This is being termed "sharing" or "connecting with the rest of the world", but in reality it is simply Americanisation.
