This may be technically true but this is largely due to the fact that less than 2% of the population is homosexual.
Furthermore, you cannot compare the African experience to the Western experience because HIV is a behaviourally related problem.
The fact is that in Western societies (eg California), Men who have Sex with Men (MSM) represent 76% of all male cases of HIV and MSM who also inject drugs represent another 8%.
Not bad for 2% of the population.
Must be part of that right-wing conspiracy again.
USFDA data has HIV amongst MSM as sixty times the general population.

Homosexual behaviour is responsible for the vast majority of HIV and AIDS cases in the Western world.
