Hopefully you check these comments, because I would really like to get in contact with you. I am doing an assignment on miscarriages of justice, and am focusing on false confessions leading to convictions. I have been searching the austlii database, but am finding it hard to come up with many cases.
I would love more information on the Barry James Mannix and Walter John Anderson cases, but cannot find anything else on them. If you do read this I would appreciate if you could let me know where I could find this case information.

You may be interested to know that Azaria's matinee jacket was not found at Uluru.

The authorities alleged that the jacket produced supposedly "matched the description" of Azaria's but it was actually not in production until after Azaria's disappearance.

Although the authorities involved discovered this themselves, the Northern Territory Government were desperate for an excuse to release Ms Chamberlain from jail due to the ongoing major embarrassment of the case and public pressure.
