This popped up as number one in a search for "Online Opinion Queensland" at Google. It must have been written prior to the creation of a forum and is dated October of last year but I couldn't resist replying. I commend the writer on having chosen the topic with such foresight as it may very well prove the deciding issue in the state election to be held in just over a week. Peter Beattie has stated he might order the closure of two water intensive power plants aand rely on the new Kogan Plant to take up the slack. Obviously he hasn't seen the rainfall staatistics for the Darling Downs of late. Not much rain getting over the mountains. I myself am from Wambo Shire and my home is a short drive from the new gas powered plant in Kogan. That's a long waay to send Brisbane's power.
