PhillipM. Well done for spotting the elephant.
We don't need EMTs or new taxes. We just need to stop subsidising the old carbon based industries and spend that money instead on renewables. No new taxes, just a shift to sensible investment instead of propping up the profits of dinosaurs.
(Although he incomes of hereditary billionaires are important, I reckon the future of our nation is a tad more vital right now!)
Fester: Congrats on some logic in this. There are many other measures that show the true picture. Northern sea ice, glaciers worldwide, animal migration and flowering plant patterns...

The governments actions are all founded on a consensus about evidence.
It is now blindingly obvious that there is no longer a consensus.

Therefore before the government commits us to enormous expenditure a
study done by a suitable group of scientists supervised by a Royal
Commission Judge should consider the evidence.

Japan has recently done something like this and to quote their finding
the IPCC's computer models are modern day astrology !
