Hmmm

Suspiciously like a Unisys marketing brochure - converting the public to the need while reinforcing the existing relationship with police agencies.

Hopefully IBM and particularly Verint http://verint.com/corporate/ will have right of reply.

I wonder which company is connected to the Virtual Strip Searches campaign http://www.news.com.au/travel/story/0,26058,24440099-5014090,00.html on trial in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide airports from this month.

Taking a holistic approach to security it may be cheaper for Australia to withdraw from Iraq and Afghanistan thereby removing much of the motivation of wouldbe jihadis in Australia.

Then again Australia will probably continue paying for American levels of electronic security (most visible in airports) while paying $Billions to watch our soldiers fight and sadly die - far from Australia. BTW legally we are in Afghanistan due to a clause in the ANZUS Treaty.

Hi Guys,

what I am amazed with is what I have seen today with technology in ATM & merchant services in general in Australia. If you look around there are allot of companies that have not bothered to update their security or encryption on their ATM & Eftpos.
I simply don't get it at all. Why would any hotel today spend big money on an ATM that is at least 6 years old. iCash ATM so far in 2008 & 2009 have the latest ATM device that provides this. The new Cashpod from iCash has finally arrived in Sydney Australia. This new unit that has been sold around the world has 2 security cameras on board, chip card acceptance plus a shutter spray cash tray to prevent further issues.
check it out here http://www.atm-eftpos-australia.com . If you own say a Triton, Banktech or Cashcard with NCR you should seriously take a close look at these new systems. Get ahead of the pack & look after your businesses security. many thans from pete at icash atm.
