Blaming America for ones troubles…original, oh well I’m sure this will, err, stop being an issue under these new leftist governments- I hear Hugo Chevas is working miracles for democracy, prosperity and peace in Venezuela.

Mattofact, did you even read the article? Know any history?

From the Article-> "the US....having backed numerous brutal right-wing military dictatorships in Central America from the 1960s and 1970s, through to the early 1990s."

People will stop bashing America only when America stops bashing people.

Yes, by all means, read some history. Many Latin American counrtries would still be colonies of France, Spain, and Portugal if it wasn't for the example and support from the U.S.A.

What this 'enlightened' Hispanic does not appear to realize.. is:

1/ The companies he blames for the poverty etc.. are facilitated by his own people.

2/ Human nature does not change with race. Hispanics.. (err like the Spanish) did the same thing to the natives.....

3/ Now Hispanics are openly speaking of their claim to US land..

Sadly.. all this is but a commentary on human nature.

"All we like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way,......

It says "ALL"...not 'some'.

THE SOLUTION?

The verse continues "But the Lord has laid on HIM.....(Messiah) the iniquity of us all"

Paul says in Romans "ALL....have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God"

that's the bad news... but again.. in perfect harmony with the prophecy in Isaiah above..there is GOOD news...

...(but) are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."

justified....yes.. but only through repentance and faith.

Apart from the kingdom of God.. (His reign in our hearts) there will be the continual cycle of oppression and reaction..as one group seeks advantage at the cost and expense of another.

Enjoyed reading an article re South America. I grew up there, in the 60's and 70's.

The ignorance of many re the effects of interference by the US in domestic matters over decades is to be expected. South America is far away and has had no affects on Australia.

It is interesting, regardless, to notice how many will equate criticism of any nation's conduct outside its borders with animosity towards all its citizen and country as a whole.
