More Australians are killed every month in road accidents than have ever died from terrorist attacks -- where are the laws and the billions of dollars to prevent road deaths? If the government was genuinely interested in the welfare of its people rather than short-term political gain then it would be focussing on real issues of major significance, not the occasional - and essentially unpredictable and unpreventable - actions of fanatical loonies. Fear campaigns and wedge politics damage us all.

J. Howard's career in politics is evidence that people of only average intelligence may rise to high office but their ability to understand the broader implications and consequences of their ill conceived laws, borders on the sociopathic. Such are the joys of Democracy.
