We should also not forget the role of China in the debacle that is Zimbabwe.

Pericles, it's pretty weak to say that what China's doing is OK because they are walking in very deep footprints. Tell that to the people of Rwanda and Zimbabwe. In any case, I thought China was supposed to be anti-imperialist. So how does this justify behaviour in indistinguishable from the worst of western imperialism?

I wouldn't be so quick to slag off the Chinese government as "clumsy" and "unaware". You don't get to be the leader of over 1-billion people without a very clear understanding of how the world works. Part of this is taking the calculated risk that you will get away with being a ratbag capitalist under the cover of the image of an anti-imperialist marxist paragon.

You may notice that my article concludes with a general plea to end crimes against humanity. You may also note that I make passing reference to other such crimes, including that of the Belgians in the Congo. I am happy to add to the list if you think the article is one-sided, but you only get so much space to make a point.

Yeah J5o6hn its all jolly joking...until it all suddenly unfolds as in Revelation 9:16 and 16:12.
All smiles... until God Allows Revelations' events to click on and we find Defence is barren and the nation asleep.

If you would like to add to the voices calling on Southern African leaders to intervene, you can add your name to an ad to appear in South African newspapers soon:

No amount of protests, sanctions is going to change Mugabe the devout Catholic. The only way is to put him down and out making sure he never gets up again.

As for China selling arms to totalitarian regimes in Sudan, Rwanda, Rwanda, Zimbabwe and Pakistan, the head of states of the West should absent themselves from the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics.
