If Peter Garrett went into politics to make a difference (and one assumes that he did) the Traveston Dam will be a crucial test of his determination.

At the moment I'm very woried about the plight of downstream from the proposed dam because what I'm hearing from Govt employees is that the; ROL (resource operating license) will allow the operator to cut the downstream flow for up to six months at a time.
Fishways and locks don't work without water.
