I cant quite agree, Trebor. Many people are simply not able to travel such distances to large clinics - too frail, too ill, too incapacitated. And what about house calls? Who is going to visit the too frail, too ill, too incapacitated? I dont for one minute believe that the Super Clinics will provide this service.
To say 'there is no other solution' is to create a self-fulfilling prophesy: the proposed 'solution' of super clinics simply ignores part of the problem, and creates a different set of problems.
I think it is imperative that we have a creative approach to finding a solution, and find one that provides good, comprehensive community care.
