No it doesn’t. Not in the slightest. Australia was not obligated to reject secondary movement asylum seekers. The fact that they were afforded protection doesn’t give have any relationship to secondary, or primary or tertiary movement.

Marilyn, could you outline just what changes in policy on asylum-seeker / refugee arrivals in Australia you would like to see Rudd adopt.
