Former Prime Minister John Howard or the people he serves don't care. They sucked in the middle income earners with income tax cuts two years ago and look what's happened with interest rates since. Lower income earners are being pushed into the ground whilst the high income earners live bright and dandy, their massive income tax cuts remaining unaffected by the reserve bank.

And what's the last thing Howard did before being voted out of parliament? He increased the salaries of politicians on average over $20,000 p/a! That's bloody outrageous!

Well ... I never ever did like porridge anyway.

We hear a lot of noise about wage induced inflation,yet very little about Govt induced inflation.Take for eg the NSW Govt.Fines taxes and charges have outstipped wage inflation by a country mile.Take for eg tip fees back in 1990 in Sydney were $11.00 per tonne.Now they are $120.00 per tonne.This is over a 1000% increase when the average inflation rate has been less than 4% pa.Environmental levies are used an excuse for more tax revenue.

What about fuel inflation caused by our oil companies?What about RBA inflation increasing the price of money?Our living standards have been driven lower by inflation outside the realm of wages.The level playing field of free trade is a seriously flawed philosophy.Interest rates are really rising to stem the flow of imports since our balance of payment deficit is now over $600 billion.

Hot porridge, cold porridge. Why is this really happening? Time to break out of the wages/profit system methinks.

Anyway I would like to see the graph and maybe make some comments after that.
