Ethnic minorities see little on television reflecting their experience.

If someone, who perceives themselves primarily as an “enthic minority”, is disgruntled with the offerings of what is “free-to-air” broadcasting in Australia amd thus, effectively resents being treated as an integrated member of “Mainstream Australian Culture”, they should (in the words of our recently deposed Federal Treasurer) go somewhere else which suits them better, that is beyond these Australian Shores (mind you, the problem might just be they cannot receive SBS or channel 35).

All migrants who come to Australia need to accept that they need to integrate with an existing culture and the onus in on those individuals to fit in.

It is not up to Australia to “accommodate” the individual migrants every whim and fancy, even if those from a collection of common ethnicity exceed more than one.

Speaking as a "migrant", I chose to become an Australian and it is my FIRST loyalty.
The land of my birth was merely an accident of fate.

Take the highly technical industrial automation industry. The leading supplier worldwide has predominantly Asian-born/bred people in its Australian base, providing phone support.

But as site workers, contracting or in-house? Never, for no such company, regardless of how many generations they have been in Australia.

Face matters, while culture,technical-aptitude, and accent dont.
