Rudd and Howard are both guilty of dumbing-down political debate through their use of pithy YouTube statements and glittering websites to divert debate.

I also believe that posting policy launches on YouTube is discriminatory. The mainstream media have been picking them up and running with them after the fact, but it means that the millions of Australians with a hearing loss are unable to participate (ie view the video) because the political parties do not include captions.
When contacted, the major parties say it is a lack of time and money - this is rubbish as most movie-making software enables captions to be added with very little effort. I have even done it myself for a uni assignment, and I am a bit of a Luddite!
I think it is appalling that they can discriminate like this and get away with it.

nick, relax. put your head back down on the grass and get back to raising fleece. and don't worry your head about politics, a politician is in charge now, and will be for the forseeable future.

they may continue to allow you to use the internet. or maybe not.
