Dear Tom. I was aware he has done such work. That's why the comment. If the only conclusion these people can reach is to find ways to restrict access to areas then they, as well as you, are fools.

Almost a total eclipse from this lot of 'pies in the sky' approach.

The public part of the equation is sadly lacking here. Just what happened to all that money from parking space levies? Hypothecated like the NSW waste levies etc?

Nice theory, might work well OS where mass transit is 'good to better'
but let's face it, a fee from parking that goes directly to an individual Council has some hope of voters influence, albeit 'slim to none' but that beats a straight out NONE when it comes to the NSW State Government etc stealing funds from the poor so the rich can use the roads without them!

Until I have to pay for parking, a 40min traffic journey stretched to 55 if things are bad once or twice a month trumps crowded trains everyday and late or non-existant on-time services 4 days in 5.

Scully and Mulder were working with more realistic theories than these guys...
