1. No more than two men to tackle outside the 10 metre lines -this will keep the forwards faster and on their feet for longer- it may also save a lot of high shots . of course some die hards will say "IF YOU RIP THEIR HEADS OFF THAT SLOWS THEM DOWN"!!
2 . No more than 3 tackles before a hand over - I have noticed that Daryl Eastlake finds the game that interesting in the middle of the 5 tackle count, that he will talk about anything apart from what is happening with the ball and the ball carrier - it's too predictable !!
Why don't they throw in a few 10 tackle counts so we can get as beer or have a feed without missing much and be done with it !!?? Simply boring to watch that play the ball and run 3 metres.
3.Make the ground as big as an AFL ground - this would at least give the outside - centres and wingers a chance to show their pace and ability .How can players like Inglis and many others please the AFL and the Union addicts if they never get the chance to perform .
4.last but not least get rid of the knock-on - why pull the game up for nothing - just when there's a bit of action .
5. Change to 4 quarters and get them fitter ! On the fitness score AFL players leave them for dead!
League could pass Union as a game and entertainment with a bit of lateral thinking . They could revert to International Rules for representative games .
kartiya is from a Union family , sons play aussie rules .He would like to see League and Union improve as a spectacle .
