This reason is, at least, is transparent. Companies are out to increase value for their shareholders, not go around helping poor countries up the ladder.

I dont know whether you are a stool for these guys or naive but what you are promoting is world government by multinational companies. The nation is supposed to look out for the common good, and we know that any leader who takes the job seriously is soon deposed by your economic hitmen.

The "resource curse" (aka Dutch disease) mainly applies if exports from extractive industries so dominate the economy that exchange rate appreciation makes other industries non-viable in terms of exports or competing with imports. This is a particular problem if the extractive industries then decline (resource exhaustion, technological change), leaving a country with no viable industries. It sounds as if the initiatives with which you are associated are aware of the need to use resource proceeds for the common good.
