Hardly Numbat - Mr Leigh started the pursuit, let him finish it properly.

Also a "Don't Care" factor of 10 precludes me from further research.

Hello everyone

There's not much the current fed gov will not stoop to to be re elected. I heard on radio national yesterday that the Reserve bank took issue with Howard's 'interest rates will remain low with us Libs' campaign for the last election. Reserve Bank said it was false advertising, said it was untrue - interest rates are not controlled by either a Labour or Liberal fed gov.

Johnny Howard claims he neva heard about it. Like he claims about soooo much else.

I don't think either side is particularly honest, however a tally of outright lies (children o/board, neva eva GST, core/non core promises, WMD's oh the list goes on) current fed gov biggest liar, most self obsessed, uses religion, racism U name it to stay in control.... so do I believe Andrew Leigh? U betcha!

This article is just simplistic, one sided rubbish dressed up as an academic assesment. It ignores the fact that funding allocations for Roads to Recovery are not formulated by the Federal Government. They are formulated by the State and Territory Local Government Grants Commissions. It is formulated at an arms length from the Government and based on a needs basis taking into account all roads details in the Shire. It does not take a Masters degree to work out that massive rural/regional shires have huge road networks, with high traffic volumes, require more funding. The Federal Government has never meddled with this funding and to suggest that a Federal election swing could come down to this program is just too simplistic to make further comment on.

Dear Sammy that is what I have argued all along we are providing a great deal of money towards Private Health and Private Education and the electorate do not seem to be grateful. We all know that Government Schools do not work user pay is the only way and we have to gradually bring this about. We could also privatise Local councils I am sure that they would function a lot better.

Diplomats at APEC are floccking to the Sydney Brothels. This is disgusting surely they could bring their wives with them and not result to such seedy antics. Does any body know which Hotel George Bush will be staying at he may get a bit lonely while over here. These Brothels should be closed it is disgusting that they are virtually legalised.
