I like the values you mention, Elite gal: "an educated, moral, modest, industrious and relatively egalitarian society". The problem is, where would a new Menzies go to champion them? There doesn't seem to be any room in the existing parties. Not in the Greed Party that has done so well with Howard, nor in the Resentment Party that offered us Latham.

I agree. Howard is not upholding the values and vision of Robert Menzies, and he will end up handing power to his enemies. Howard is not good for Liberal. They are unreservedly backing the wrong horse, to their own detriment.
