I say that no reduction is deserved for CGT. After all, people pay more tax on income derived from personal exertion. While we're at it, [seriously here] lets bring back death duties. Federally that is, otherwise the states will never bring them in uniformly. Billions of dollars in assets are passed intergenerationally and this represents another form of hidden unearned income. Sounds like the ACCI's call is a self-serving one, rather than one in the public interest.
