A valuable perspective!

I'd be grateful for more specific citations of your sources re: the number of doctors affected and the damage they cause. Such numbers have proven elusive in my own research. Extrapolation is good, but specifics are better.

Your arguments make tremendous sense to me. I would like to know who would monitor your processes of testing. Doctors have a built-in conflict of interest reporting colleagues/friends. They are also intrinsically adept at fooling drug tests. Denial is a very real aspect of addiction for anyone.

My personal thought was to use an outside agency--in the U.S. the DEA or other law enforcement might be a viable option--they have no interest other than public safety.
