AI Overview
Calculating the exact financial value of Frances aid to Ukraine depends on whether you count direct bilateral funding or include France's large share of European Union (EU) multilateral packages:
Total Bilateral Allocations:
Independent trackers like the Kiel Institute for the World Economy estimate that France has allocated approximately 27 billion in total direct bilateral support. When looking strictly at concrete bilateral commitments that have been finalized or delivered, trackers value this at roughly 7.9 billion, broken down into roughly 6.2 billion in military aid, 900 million in humanitarian aid, and 800 million in direct financial aid.
Including Multilateral/EU Aid:
When factoring in France's share of financial, military, and humanitarian aid channeled through EU institutions (like the European Peace Facility), the broader footprint of French support reaches between 26 billion and over 50 billion depending on how long-term loans and guaranteed funds are calculated.
50 billion Euro to Ukraine, and no air-con or assistance to bloated migrant filled kids classrooms.
I'd be wanting to burn the country down too.
Kicked off in Germany as well, protests in many EU countries.
