The article is a warning about the enormous capacity for information and its distribution by AI technology.
Should this be feared..Ask AI?

A:
“What happens to human judgment when millions of people increasingly accept machine-generated conclusions instead of examining the evidence for themselves?”

That is a much more substantial warning than the article’s more speculative claims about AI being a “Trojan Horse.”

For the intellectually lazy, and those with time deficits, AI facilitates stand alone for opinion replacement!…maybe!
