The paradox of humanity is, that we can simultaneously prepare to destroy one another and negotiate with one another across the table.

That particular game of hypocrisy may be the very uncomfortable mechanism by which civilisation survives: Re, the current example of Trumps handling of the Iranian Republic, which builds itself on violence and annihilation of anything slightly off centre to its own ideology.

Trump should be praised for trying, as he does, before wiping it off the map, as he threatens to do, which is an excusable response!
