Q:
Is Australia experiencing a realignment of political allegiance in which voters are no longer primarily choosing between Labor and Coalition, but increasingly choosing between the political establishment and parties or candidates they believe will disrupt it?
If Secret Harbour is an early indication of that, the interesting story isn't One Nation's polling number. It's the weakening of the major parties' claim to be the natural political homes of their traditional constituencies.
And that would explain why GY is so interested in the apparent movement of Labor voters: once the protest vote crosses the traditional class/party boundary, you may be looking at political realignment rather than merely a swing to the right.
