Why he is called a terrorist
In 2004, an Israeli court convicted Barghouti of:
* five counts of murder, relating to three attacks in which five people were killed;
* attempted murder, relating to a failed car-bomb attack;
* membership in a terrorist organisation.
He received five consecutive life sentences plus 40 years.
The five deaths for which he was convicted involved a Greek Orthodox monk, an Israeli civilian near Givat Zeev, and three civilians killed at the Seafood Market restaurant in Tel Aviv. The court concluded that Barghouti had supplied money and weapons and had authorised or organised attacks through the armed network under his influence.
Proof…The only good Palestinian is a dead one!
