The twenty-first century will not belong to the economies that simply produce more energy. It will belong to those that require less imported energy to generate greater prosperity. That is the true meaning of decoupling.

Europe may reduce its dependence on imported oil while increasing dependence on:

* imported uranium
* imported critical minerals
* Chinese battery and electrical-equipment supply chains
* imported solar panels
* imported components for power grids
* external manufacturers of railway equipment
* foreign technology and telecommunications systems.

It’s obvious where the green madness will take us isn’t it!

And has the author considered the advances of diesel electric?
