In the case Senator Hanson-Young brought against Leyonhjelm, it was proven Leyonhjelm had defamed Hanson-Young outside of parliament on two occasions Leyonhjelm was ordered to pay $120,000 in compensation, end of story. Did Leyonhjelm think as a senator himself he had the right to run around the countryside defaming people? Maybe that's why Leyonhjelm got booted from parliament.

I'm very perplexed as I was always led to believe that Judges are impartial, knowledgeable, intelligent, reasonable & fair however, since I've witnessed that to not be so I'm wondering how they could be retrained to adopt these values ?

we are not far behind UK where activist judges are largely responsible for tens of thousands of young girls being raped. To this day they go very light on the protected class. No difference from the activist judges in Victoria where they were happy to gaol innocent people and let the usual suspects off free.
