Ley resigned in a huff, immature schoolgirl that she is. Good. Australia will be better off with one less liberal lefty. But there are still enough of her sort in the party to keep them out of government. All the ALP has to do is continue bribing the punters until there is nothing left, and inevitable chaos will bring down the whole show.

In the meantime people, including this author, need to stop using the word ‘conservative’ to describe the Liberal Party. There is only one conservative party in Australia now: One Nation. There is no real need for the Liberals any longer.

Taylor? Just asks Albanese questions he knows won't be answered; he has to work with that awful man to protect the uniparty from One Nation.

Australia has had the Richard. Octogenarians like me are not even noticed in this ageist country, let alone listened to. But, we should be out of here when the brown stuff really hits the fan. As one of the oldies I will go with no regrets - and no sympathy for those who have allowed politicians to kill off their futures.

US Republican Senator Everrett Dirksen, who died at the age 73 in 1969, has been credited with saying that there is an “evil party” and a “stupid party”. And occasionally the two team up to do something that is both evil and stupid. It's called bipartisanship. (Michael de Percy, ‘Liberals are fools to support social media censorship’).

Australian blogger, Topher Field predicted some time ago that Labor and the Liberals will combine to attack One Nation in protecting the uniparty, so that they can continue taking it in turns to rule.

Some of the comments by Taylor and Canavan about Pauline Hanson seem to back that up. Only a couple of days ago, Taylor was muttering about ‘bipartisanship’; Canavan has been downright nasty about Hanson, and Albanese will be in on the scheme with bells on.
