Perhaps all the "experts" on defence should get a go at it; because the politicians, the public servants and the military brass don't seem to have a clue. Particularly Defence Minister Marles.

Or, how about Defence announcing a “ best essay" competition on the matter to get a few clues

It is just as well President Trump has named Australia as one of the countries that the US doesn't 'need help from anymore'.

We can't even help,ourselves; and Trump might not want to help us when trouble inevitably comes knocking on our door - unless it is in America's interests.

And, why would he? The "experts" spreading BS here and elsewhere have been banging on about the US no longer being "reliable" ally.
