By David Singer, published 13/3/2026After Iran and Gaza, the old two-state formula looks finished. Is it time to rethink how the Arab-Jewish conflict is actually resolved?

The two state solution was finished long ago. But some had to continue to pay lip-service to the daft notion so as to justify the continued wars raged by Iran and its proxies against Israel.
But Israel had no interest in it. And the so-called Palestinians only saw a two state solution as a prelude to a one state solution that didn't include any Jews. Its pretty clear that the 7 October invasion of Israel by Hamas and Iran was probably one of the greatest self-owns in history. Since that time we've seen the destruction of Hamas, the destruction of Hezbullah, the cowering of the Houthis, the fall of Assad and now the dismemberment of the (now) hereditary theocracy in Iran. Without the purse strings offered by Iran, the more moderate (although that's a relative term) elements in the Palestinian polity will need to come to terms with whatever Israel offers them or continue to suffer humiliation after humiliation Posted by mhaze, Saturday, 14 March 2026 11:23:05 AM

The source you quoted made no mention of Iran agreeing to the West's demand to remove 460 kg of 60% enriched uranium and US nuclear inspections. From the US negotiators mouths: "President Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff said that Iran claimed it had enough enriched uranium to make 11 nuclear bombs before the U.S. and Israel launched an attack on the country over the weekend. Witkoff told Fox News' Sean Hannity on Monday that Iran's negotiators had said to him and Mr. Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, before the strikes that the country controlled roughly 460 kilograms of uranium at 60% enrichment. Witkoff said that the uranium could have been enriched to the weapons-grade level of 90% within a week to 10 days. "Both the Iranian negotiators said to us, directly, with, you know, no shame, that they controlled 460 kilograms of 60%, and they're aware that that could make 11 nuclear bombs, and that was the beginning of their negotiating stance," https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-steve-witkoff-iran-enriched-uranium-11-nuclear-bombs/ Posted by david singer, Saturday, 14 March 2026 6:03:55 PM

Hi David,
Yes sorry, I thought they'd agreed to let the enriched Uranium go to Russia, but it seems I was wrong. They did however propose to dilute the uranium inside their own facilities under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency. Scoop: Trump rejected Putin offer to move Iran's uranium to Russia http://www.axios.com/2026/03/13/iran-nuclear-uranium-trump-russia-putin There was a deal on the table, but Israel had already decided to launch it's war during the month of Ramadan, I believe. But it's too late for those deals now. I think, and this is my opinion... That Iran was never an existential threat to Israel. - That Iran gave support to the Palestinians, and for that it was Israel that was an existential threat to Iran, (being on Netanyahu's and the U.S. hitlist, with the Clean Break policy and the War of Terror, but now because of Israels unrelenting intent to make war with Iran and fulfil those aims... Google? Netanyahu said his plan to take out Iran went back 40 years AI Overview Yes, in March 2026, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the joint military operation with the United States against Iran allowed him to fulfill a long-held ambition, claiming he has "hoped to achieve" this objective for 40 years That Iran really is an existential threat to Israel now, and every bit of it is Israels own fault. All the drones and missiles that are raining down upon Israel... What is it now about wave 48? Israel deserves every single one of them, for what you've been doing to others, ad now Iran has the leverage. . Posted by Armchair Critic, Sunday, 15 March 2026 8:19:42 AM

They're not going to stop, and why should they? They're going to hold the whole world hostage with loss of oil, gas and urea, and the whole world will have pay, and not that Israel cared because it's probably quite happy for a situation that denied Iran revenues and damn the rest of the world. Iran will keep sending Israelis to bomb shelters 4 times a day, not that they are safe, and the Israeli's know it because at least 2 have been blown up that I know of Bibi's bunker and the oe in Beit Shemesh. And Israel wanted this war and didn't care about any imposition it would have on everyone else. So, you kind of got what you asked for, only it's not turning out exactly as you planned. Israel may decide to nuke Iran at some point, or blow up the Al Asqa mosque or something... And at that point, Iran may respond in kind and nuke Israel out of existence. You attacked them. After killing khomeini and his family, they may well have decided that the only way they can protect their people and nation from Israel is to quickly enrich to weapons grade, (And Israel made them do it) turn it into metal and make warheads in a simple gun design and send the state of Israel back to the stoneage. This may be happening as we speak. The Houthi will soon join once the Gulf States start sending oil through the pipeline to the Red Sea and what's left of Hezbollah are do-or-die if the Iranian government falls. Israel doesn't have as good intelligence on Hezbollah anymore after they played their pager card, all Israel can do is bomb civilians and terrorise the citizenry as is their way. Iran may be able to keep up missile attacks for months maybe longer. Israel did all of this, and now Iran decides when it stops. Posted by Armchair Critic, Sunday, 15 March 2026 8:28:39 AM

David Singer's only error was to respond to one of the site's ratbags.

What would the response be? Shake the person to wake them up because all of that would only happen in the fevered dreams of clueless dills like AC.
