The hum drum of the arts world:

I’ve known some in my time, and trust me, they get what they ask for.

This one was a bit smarter than the average bear, which was fortunate for him.

Sympathy is not something he will get, or even deserve.

I believe in trying to live by the rules of the Good Book: Even that’s fraught!
