Any major extractions of Venezuelan oil risks an international oil glut which would drop the price of US oil extracted by US oil companies.

So no net gains for $10s Billions of US infrastructure investment in Venezuelan oil fields.

Al Capone Trump, has got a new deal for half the world, its called "The Board Of Peace" sign up if you want "peace" on your patch, cough up $1.5 billion annually, as a down payment on a kind of peaceful insurance policy, with boss Trump the Godfather making sure your country doesn't have any "nasty little accidents". So far Trump has made the offer to 60 countries, including Australia. Has Greenland signed up? Venezuela didn't, and look what happened to them.
