“People curious about the current state of Australia ….” are few. “Exhaustion”? Cowardice and apathy is more likely. Australians have succumbed to grey-suited Marxism. The lack of will/backbone/apathy to fight the political class has resulted in the accurate dot points at the bottom of Page 1. Werner, you refer to "A perceived sense of a loss of meaning". Most people in the West are functional atheists. Many are beginning to realise that should atheism/materialism be true, then life really is meaningless. The greater the sense of the meaninglessness of life, the more everything else falls apart.
